Invitation to the Peer Learning Training: "Strengthening Women's Networks" 🌍
We are delighted to invite you to our transformative 4-day Peer Learning Training from 11.2. 2026 to 15.2.2026 hosted by Zavod Veles Slovenia! This intensive exchange is a core activity of our Erasmus+ project, LeadHERship: Strengthening Women's Networks.
Join us for an opportunity to deepen your expertise, share your unique skills, and collaboratively develop innovative approaches for empowering women in rural communities.
🎯 Aims and Content of the Peer Learning Training
This training is designed to foster innovation transfer and capacity building across our partner organisations.
The primary aims are to:
Spread Innovative Methods: Exchange little-known and cutting-edge practices, tools, and approaches used by educators in women's empowerment.
Facilitate Peer Exchange: Engage in practical application, discussion, and reflection to deepen your understanding of diverse methods and explore how to adopt them in your local educational work.
Explore Specific Topics: Dedicate one day to a focused mini-workshop led by a Zavod Veles collaborator, delving into a topic or method of mutual interest to all participants.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the training, you will achieve:
Increased Knowledge about innovative methodologies for women’s empowerment.
Practical Skills in facilitating exercises and practices.
Skills to create inclusive, welcoming, and nourishing spaces.
Deeper understanding of how to access feminine energy in a women’s circle.
Enhanced awareness of cultural differences and diversity within our respective countries.
👥 Who Should Participate?
We are looking for women educators, staff, and collaborators who are actively engaged in women’s education in their respective organisations and local communities. Each partner organization is invited to send three participants.
Who Benefits?
Participants (Educators): You will directly benefit through increased knowledge, practical skills, and a strong professional network.
Partner Organizations: Will benefit from the innovation transfer, enhanced capacity, and a larger pool of skilled trainers ready to implement new methods.
Local Women (Learners): The ultimate beneficiaries are the local women in our respective rural areas who will participate in the local activities (Objective 2) led by you, the newly trained educators, thereby gaining the benefits of the learned methods, tools, and practices.
🔗 How This Activity Reaches Project Objectives
This training is instrumental in achieving two key project objectives:
Objective 1 (Capacity Building): This activity directly involves 9 adult education trainers in peer learning to acquire innovative and less well-known methodologies in women’s empowerment. These learnings will be immediately applied in local workshops and later shared with more colleagues, boosting the internal capacity of all three organizations.
Objective 4 (Networking and Collaboration): The intense 4-day residential setting promotes deeper networking, builds strong personal relationships among the participating educators, and lays the groundwork for sustained future collaboration between the partner organizations.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE VENUE SUNNY HILL
SLOVENE ISTRA, Sunny Hills of Istra, Topolovec 29, 6272 Gračišče, Slovenia
The Istrian peninsula was known to Romans as the terra magica. It's name is derived from the Histri, an Illyrian tribe that lived in the region. Romans described them as pirates who were hard to conquer due to the difficulty of navigating their territory.
Nowadays Slovene Istra is popular for its natural beauties, small coastal towns as well as hidden jewels of the hinterland. The mild sub-Mediterranean climate offers perfect conditions to grow wine, olives and truffles. During your visit, we might have opportunity to discover some of the hidden treasures of Istria.
